Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, interested in atmospheric chemistry and modelling in Planetary Science and Earth
Megan Brown completed her PhD in 2023 at the Open University, titled “Ozone Variations due to heterogeneous chemistry in the Martian Atmosphere”, before working on an Earth-based project specialising in atmospheric hydrogen at the University of Cambridge. She has an interest in the chemistry on Mars, Earth, and other planetary atmospheres in present day climates. She is currently working at Cambridge with the University of Exeter and the Met Office to adapt the UK Chemistry and Aerosol model to a Mars configuration. Alongside this, she is investigating hydrogen cyanide chemistry in present day Mars’ atmosphere as a potential biomarker under lightning conditions.
