A Research Associate at the National Space Science Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (NSSC, CAS), interested in atmospheric variability and habitability of rocky exoplanets and in the search for another Earth through space missions.
Dr Haitao Li is a Research Associate at the National Space Science Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Exeter, where he worked with Nathan on simulating the atmospheres of rocky exoplanets. Currently based at the NSSC, CAS, Haitao is primarily focused on the Earth 2.0 (ET) mission, a space-based transit photometry mission that aims to detect Earth-like planets in the habitable zones of Sun-like stars. He is responsible for end-to-end mission performance evaluation and the development of data processing algorithms, etc. In addition, he is interested in both climate simulations of exoplanets that will be discovered by the ET mission and atmospheric modelling and retrieval using phase-curve data from the mission.
